Laboratorio de Catálisis y Materiales. ESIQIE-Instituto Politécnico Nacional
Main Article Content
Abstract
The catalysis and materials laboratory belonging to the Higher School of Chemical Engineering and Extractive Industries (ESIQIE, Spanish acronym) of the National Polytechnic Institute (IPN) was founded in 1981 in order to carry out basic and applied research in the development of new catalytic materials for the refining and petrochemical industry. In the present work, a historical account is made regarding the research and technological development activities that have been carried out in the framework of nanostructured catalytic materials. It presents the evolution of research lines and performed projects, available infrastructure, group productivity, internal and external collaborations, as well as teaching and human resources training activities. Finally, the main achievements of the group are described and the prospects for research required in the areas of energy, chemical industry and environment are outlined (ENIQMA program).
